This weekend was packed full of developments from the mobile industry as Mobile World Congress kicked off in Barcelona, Spain. Samsung announced an 8-inch phone, the first official Firefox OS phone got announced, HP came back into the tablet market and more has happened over the last two days.

ZTE announces flagship Grand Series S smartphone

ZTE is showing off their new flagship Grand Series S smartphone, which the company claims to be the world’s thinnest at 6.9 mm. The phone packs a 5-inch FHD (1080p) display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU and 2GB of RAM. The handset also includes 4G LTE connectivity with download speeds up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of 50 Mbps. In addition, the phone includes a 13MP AF camera (with flash) and a 2MP front-facing camera, both capable of 1080p video capture.
